Chapter 1.2 - The Fear of Werewolves

The girls have started in their new jobs and have been working hard to make money, but so far their income is not enough it when it comes to getting what they really want.

Esmarelda: As a witch, I have needs you know! I work hard for my money but it just isn't cutting it to provide me with the lifestyle I expect and deserve! Its time like there where a little bit of witch magic must come into play!

Esmarelda: I have a slight obsession with conjuring up apples on a whim. I'm not even hungry its just something I do to flaunt my magic prowess I guess. So I figured an apple was the perfect sacrifice for my transformation spell. So with a bit of concentration and a few flicks of the wand, the apple transformed into a precious metal! That will be an extra $647 in the bank thank you!

Esmarelda: And with that kind of money, I just had to lash out on myself and buy an Alchemy table! Sure we don't have a stove or even wallpaper for that matter but you can hardly call me a real witch without one of these babies!

Fantasia: While Esmarelda was glued to that Alchemy table for the rest of the day, I took a stroll through town to find someone to socialise with when I came across Bill Misfit again! He actually likes to listen to my fairy stories and random chit chat. I am glad I can call him my friend!

F: Riding on a broom is just so unlady like right?! Having wings and the ability to fly is far more elegant and refined don't you think?

Fantasia: After Bill left, I soon found an elderly gentleman who was not paying attention to the food he was cooking on the BBQ. The food was burnt to a crisp and it was likely to be a serious fire hazard, so I felt I needed to teach him a lesson! I cast a hot headed spell on him and he certainly didn't seem to pleased about it either!

Fantasia: Just as the spell started to take effect, out of nowhere this elderly fellow burst into flames, and as he did, he started growling like a monster and his body and face were becoming distorted. It was horrific!

Fantasia: I was frozen in terror as I saw this man transform into a horrid beast! He let out a bone chilling howl before scurrying off into the distance, still charred from the flames caused by my hot headed spell.

Fantasia: To say I was scared would be an understatement. Well...erm...you could say I had a little accident in the park that night! I am so ashamed of myself! I will have to find a way to get over my fear of werewolves to make sure this doesn't happen again!

Esmarelda: While my sister was in the park tarnishing her prim and proper reputation, I headed to the toadstool to socialise with my own kind! Yes I met a group of witches! It was fab to talk to some like minded gals and share in some witchy chit chat!

Esmarelda: That wasn't all I got up too! I really want to improve my witchyness in all areas so along with learning some alchemy, I also want to become an ace on the broom too so I headed to the test track and took my broom for a spin! I managed to pull off some pretty sweet tricks too!

Fantasia: Later that night, I decided to visit a different park that I heard was a delightful meeting point for fairies. Whilst I was there I fell in love with the fairy house which is actually where I decided to sleep for the night to get out of the crummy house. Whilst I was at the park, lit up in my green aura of loveliness, I came across a ghost giving a werewolf a harsh talking to and he was cowering from her in disgrace!

Fantasia: Well these werewolves must not be that bad after all! After seeing her dominance over this ghastly creature, I decided to approach the pair in full confidence and introduce myself to this gutsy lady. I had never met a ghost before, so I started the conversation with the first thing that came into my head.

F: So how did you kick the bucket??

Fantasia: Well that was a classy was to start a conversation...Turns out she was burnt alive in a horrible fire! Stupid stupid me! how could I be so impolite?? After that horrendous attempt at starting a conversation, I backed away slowly and headed towards the fairy house to go to bed.

Fantasia: As I started to make my way to the fairy house, I could not help but feel as tho somebody was following me. I was probably just paranoid still from the recent werewolf scare! Other than ware wolves, there is nothing remotely shady or scary about this place, I wonder where all these rumours have come from??

Esmarelda: Once again, I decided to head out to a bar for a good night and it didn't take long before I found a willing male to flirt with! Lucky for me this guy was also a big flirt and was keen to show me a good time. This guy knew how to treat a girl as he didn't hesitate to offer me a massage. Cute very cute, but to be honest he couldn't hold my interest for much longer. I split as I usually do when things get a little too serious.

Fantasia: After my disastrous day that left a stain on my squeaky clean reputation, I decided I must face the world and meet new people to feed my social appetite! The following evening I met a very interesting fellow by the name of Rick Dirwood. Sure he was not the best looking of men and yes I did see the well built male playing with his dog behind me, but looks aren't everything you know. I will take an intelligent man in a suite over a buff caveman any day! Unfortunately after speaking some words of affection to him, I soon found out he was already married!

Fantasia: After a disastrous few days of failure in my social life and my love life, I felt I needed to lash out on myself and buy a few little things! Rather than spending money on the house, I decided to buy a bee keeping hut to make fresh honey and my very own fairy house! Many may think these are odd purchases for a girl that is so low on money but at least this spending spree made me feel better!

Fantasia: The following day after work, I decided to take a stroll through town when I came across the Alchemy Consignment store, and serving behind the counter was a lady werewolf. Rather than backing out the door in fear, I actually felt quite sorry for her. The poor dear was covered in hair and her face was hardly pleasing to the eye.  So I decided it was best for me to walk up to her and introduce myself. If anything, this could be all I need to recover from my fear of ware wolves!

Fantasia: The conversation we were having was actually quite pleasant until this werewolf woman suddenly lunged towards me growling! Rather than cowing in fear I was actually quite disgusted by her behaviour and gained strength from my sheer hatred of all things improper!

Fantasia: She was behaving like a wild animal so I treated her like one! I made it know to her that lunging at someone and growling was deplorable behaviour and I must admit she did seem to be quite ashamed of herself! After this little incident, I think it is safe to say I am not afraid of werewolves anymore. If anything, they should be afraid of me!

Esmarelda: As usual, I managed to find another hot night spot in town, and this time it was a karaoke bar! I guess you could say I hogged that Mic all night but its not like there was anyone else there worthy of taking the stage. That bar should feel privileged to have me there entertaining their patrons!

After another busy week in Moonlit tides, the girls finally got a chance to have a chat and catch up on things, sister to sister.

E: Yeah I totally pulled some sick tricks on my broom at the test track. I even rode upside down and everything! maybe you should join me next time? Oh yeah that's right, I keep forgetting you don't have a Broom! haha

F: It seems like you are just trying to prove yourself to me! I think somebody is secretly jealous of my fairy wings!?

Now that the girls have settled in and finally know their way around town, their competitiveness is really starting to show. A natural rivalry exists between these two as sisters and this rivaly will become clear in this new town as they compete on every level including friends, career, love, family and all round success in life!
